These VILT trainings are presented in the English language. The exam for the training is also online, known as EXIN Anywhere Exam. As such you don’t have to travel in order to follow these VILT based courses in the English language but can follow them instead right from your work or home, requiring a basic PC/laptop and high speed internet connection. General information about this course Managing the facilities of today’s hi-end and hi-availability datacenters is an extremely demanding and complex task which is often under estimated. There is often very little appreciation and understanding of the complexities of managing today’s mission critical datacenters, especially since many of the datacenters are operating at, or near, their design limits and downtime is never an option. The way a data center is managed at the facilities layer makes all the difference. Even a datacenter designed to Tier-4 as per the ANSI/TIA-942 standard could still experience many unscheduled down time events due to poor planning, operations, maintenance and management processes. The CDFOM course is a 3 day course which will enable participants to gain in-depth knowledge in managing data center operations which include the following key subject matters; capacity planning, latest green initiatives, how to properly commission and de-commission equipment, compliance to safety standards, statutory compliance and international standards, managing people, vendor management, handling incident/crisis management as well how to keep operations really simple, manageable, effective and effcient and much more. Our Datacenter Certifications are worldwide accredited by EXIN. The training is conducted in collaboration with EPI Training. On the last day of the course the EXIN exam will take place. The exam costs are included in the course fee. Objectives Setup a datacenter facilities operations team Manage and motivate your facilities management team Setup SLA’s and manage them including liabilities, KPIs etc. Manage vendors and measure their performance Manage physical security taking into account requirements of standards such as ANSI/TIA-942 etc. Manage safety & statutory requirements Effectively and efficiently manage datacentere operations Manage documents Set-up equipment life cycle including testing Define datacenter design limits and set-up and manage a proper capacity management plan Commission and de-commission equipment Go about IT cable management Manage the day-to-day data center operations Target audience The primary audience for this course is an IT, facilities or Datacenter Operations professional working in and around the data centre and having oversight accountability or responsibility for achieving and improving high availability and manageability of the data center operations. Requirements It is advisable for the participants to have some experience in data center operations although it is not required. Particularities The corresponding exam is taken at the end of the last course day. Do you prefer to do the exam on another day? This can be done. You can take an exam every day at the Vijfhart Examination Center. Please indicate which day you prefer when booking. Persoonlijk advies?
