Enroll More information Download brochure About VILT This training is delivered in an online realtime (live!) interactive format, known as VILT, Virtual Instructor Led Training powered by the Cisco Webex Training Center platform. This VILT training is presented in the English language. The exam for the training is also online, known as EXIN Anywhere Exam. As such you don’t have to travel in order to follow this VILT based course in the English language but can follow them instead right from your work or home, requiring a basic PC/laptop and high speed internet connection. Introduction Participants must hold a valid CTDC certificate in order to be able to register for the CTIA class. Data centres are at the core of many organisations. Downtime of the data centre could lead to major losses to the business. This has led many organisations to build resilience at various levels, such as at the data centre facilities, infrastructure and at the ICT layer. However, following recommendations of various vendors, consultants and public domain information might result in under- or over-specification. Therefore it would be better to follow a commonly accepted standard as the basis for the design and build principles. The TIA-942 Standard specifies requirements and guidelines for the design and build of a data centre. It is intended for use by designers who need a comprehensive understanding of the data centre design encompassing Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical and Telecom requirements and guidelines, not always covered by other generic guidelines and so called ‘standards’. Understanding the intent of the TIA-942 standard is of fundamental importance, not only for the successful implementation of the data centre, but also for its sustainable operations. In this three-day course, the participant will learn how to design an TIA-942 compliant data centre. It will provide a clear understanding of the requirements of the TIA-942 Standard and possible implementation variations. The course is well suited for all types of data centres, be it enterprise data centres or multi-tenant, third party data centres such as co-location, managed services and cloud service providers. Objectives Comprehend and apply the TIA-942 Standard requirements and guidelines Understand the proper intent of the Standard to avoid both over- and/or under investment Align Tier level selection and infrastructure investments to the business requirements Understand the criteria and requirements for a high availability data centre design and how to effectively establish the data centre from the perspective of the Standard Understand how the TIA-942 standard relates to various worldwide standards Target audience Professionals in design, build, maintenance and operation of mission critical datacenters and those who wish to attend the CTIA (Certified TIA-942 Internal Auditor) course. Requirements Participants must hold a valid CTDC certificate in order to be able to register for the CTIA class. It is also mandatory to hold a copy of the latest version of the TIA-942 standard. Because this standard is supplied with the CTDC course and a valid CTDC certificate is a hard requirement for participating this CTIA course, you’re most likely to posess it already. This is something you must check yourself. When you have an older version you can buy an update through Vijfhart. It is highly recommended to study the standard before the start of the training because the training aims to teach the student how to use and interpret the standard. In the exam you can expect questions about or related to facts in the standard. Particularities This course is delivered in collaboration with one of our partners. Participants must hold a valid CTDC certificate in order to be able to register for the CTIA class. The accompanying EXIN exam is taken online at a time that suits you best. This exam is therefore NOT taken at the end of the second day of the course.
