DevOps (Development Operations) is a culture and way of working aimed at solving numerous problems in software development and IT management. The goal is to deliver software faster, more reliable and cost-efficiently through collaboration, automation and continuous process improvement.

In this two-day DASA DevOps Fundamentals course, you will learn the basics of DevOps. You will learn how to successfully apply DevOps in your organisation.

We cover the essential competences as defined by the DevOps Agile Skills Association (DASA). Furthermore, you will learn the DevOps terminology, principles and practices. Using real-life case studies, examples, group discussions and exercises, you will develop a good basic understanding of DevOps. You can complete the course with the DevOps exam.

Upon completion of the course you:
Are familiar with DevOps terminology
Are familiar with the key concepts and principles of DevOps
Will be able to explain the key elements of a DevOps culture and its importance.
Know the importance of automation and the ways to implement it in the product lifecycle.
Can describe how DevOps relates to Lean and Agile methodologies.
Know metrics and success factors for DevOps transformations.
Have an understanding of different organisational DevOps models and related architectures.
Can explain the importance of sharing responsibility, knowledge and practices to enable successful collaboration.
Know how to use DASA’s available resources to support a DevOps implementation plan.

Target audience

Requirements
